Our Big Gig: Sunday 14th July
To celebrate the official launch of our plans to redevelop the former Odeon building into a world class live music venue and a new home for the creative industries, we’re putting on a FREE outdoor concert on City Park.
The concert will be part of Our Big Gig 2013, a nationwide series of events taking place to encourage participation in music and showcase the best up and coming talent across the UK.
This event in the heart of Bradford has been chosen as the flagship event for the Yorkshire and Humber region of the festival and promises to be an incredible gig.
Bradford One: Our Big Gig will take place on Sunday 14th July between 12 and 8pm on City Park, outside City Hall.
There will be an outdoor bar and stalls where gig-goers can find out more about how to get involved in making music in Bradford and have a crack themselves.
The line up for the event includes some of the best established and up and coming artists from around the region who are flying the flag for the city at gigs across the UK and beyond.
We’re appealing for venues, bands, club nights, music shops, studios and music tutors to bring any flyers, posters, cards or promos for us to display throughout the day to show the music activity in Bradford. If you have anything for us, email email@example.com.
Stage times will be announced prior to the event:

Oh you know the sort of thing, some person met some other persons and thought it would be good to start a band, and then it was, so they did etc etc.
Like being thrown through a chip shop window after being started on in a pub by a rude boy, a happy mondays fan and a northern soul DJ after spilling mild all over their shoes while slidey dancing in the pub next door.
Kascarade formed in August 2010, a five piece retro sounding rock band from Bradford.
A 5 piece rock band from Bradford, recently reformed after a break of several years that followed a successful European tour.
Formerly known as Sharp Darts, Born Thief create a unique blend of grooves, flows and haunting melodies
A steaming pile of noise, hair, synths and teeth.
DO MISS AMERICA
It is easy to imagine Do Miss America – with their authentic take on heartfelt blues rock – emanating from some dust-blown Midwestern prairie town. Surprisingly, it’s the battered industrial wastelands of West Yorkshire they call home.
